House of Representatives Votes to Rescind California’s Clean Air Waiver

On April 30th, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to rescind the Environmental Protection Agency’s 2023 approval of California’s plans to require a rising number of zero-emission heavy-duty trucks. With a House vote of 231 to 191, H.J.Res.87 now moves to the Senate.

Those members who attended TRAA’s Hill Day in February will recall Congressman Kiley discussing this resolution and the multitude of concerns including the effect of “Advanced Clean Trucks” (ACT) regulations on equipment availability and rising costs for towing and recovery companies.

TRAA and our federal lobbying firm will continue to monitor the resolution’s progress in the Senate. Keep an eye on your inbox for updates and email contact us with any questions!
